About Applied Physics
Turning struggle into leverage.
You’re stuck on something. A career that won’t move. A relationship that won’t shift. Grief that won’t lift. You’ve tried what you know, and you keep coming back to the same suspicion: there’s one specific move that would change this, and you haven’t found it yet.
That move is the hidden lever. Applied Physics is the library.
The premise
Every struggle has the same shape. You’re in a state you don’t want, looking for one you do, searching for the one thing that would convert the situation from a drain into an asset.
Physics already has names for that thing. Newton’s Third Law. Resonance. Coherence. Wormholes. Lensing. These describe how force, direction, and energy actually behave, and the same mechanics show up in careers, recognition, relationships, and creative work.
Each article identifies one principle, the struggle pattern it maps to, the cost of staying stuck, and the lever you can pull. Pull it, and the struggle converts into a compounding asset: a tool you carry forward, a baseline that raises everything that follows, or a foundation you can build on.
Who this is for
Engineers, scientists, founders, and operators whose effort isn’t compounding.
People who’ve worked through the self-help shelf and want structural answers rather than motivational ones.
Anyone who suspects the missing piece is a specific mechanism, not more willpower.
What you get
Every article reads in full for free. The story, the physics, the framework, the examples, and the case studies are open to everyone. The AI prompts at the end and he archives are behind the paywall.
Principle articles open the lens. A physics concept, the struggle pattern it explains, personal stories where the parallel held, and one prompt at the end.
Applied articles go operational. The full framework, case studies of well-known figures whose paths tracked the principle, and multiple prompts you can run on your own situation.
How to use it
There are four ways to put a principle to work:
Diagnose a current struggle. Run the AI prompt against your situation. If the lever fits, pull it. If not, try another principle.
Reverse-engineer a missing asset. Identify the outcome you want, then work backward to the principle that produces it.
Find your stage. Many struggles move through concrete steps. Locate where you are and identify the next one.
Audit past experiences. Apply the lens to old struggles to surface assets you already earned and didn’t realize you were holding.
Each asset stacks. Accumulate enough of them and the foundation stops being something you’re chasing and becomes something you’re standing on.
About me
I’m a systems-thinking engineer and a hard-tech founder based in the San Francisco Bay Area, currently building a flywheel machine that achieved a 90% energy storage cost reduction over commercially available technology.
The parallels started showing up while I was writing about other things. I’d long been drawn to the essays where marketing or strategy turns out to map onto a physical law, and the more I wrote, the more often my own situations did the same. It coalesced when I wrote The White Light Principle. The analogy was too precise to leave on a hard drive.
Where to start
New here? Start with Newton’s Third Law, the simplest version of the pattern.
Stuck on your career? Try Career Vector.
Carrying weight you can’t set down? Try White Light.
